Happy Summer!! We are moving in to a more relaxed time of the year, but busy and full of activity nonetheless. Our annual Garage Sale is July 17th and 18th this year. A perfect opportunity to get rid of all those valuable items you have been saving.

Every year, we have an annual meeting of the East County Senior Center and its Board of Directors. In the past, this was a well attended event. In recent years, this has changed. Well, we have decided to try and make it something special again. Details will be found elsewhere in this newsletter, but it would be great if you could attend. Guaranteed fun, door prizes, food and increased awareness. This is your opportunity to find out more about the finances of the Senior Center and what the Board does to help keep this a vibrant and meaningful place for many of us. The date for the meeting is Wednesday, July 22nd at 11:30.

The Board of Directors has decided to move the date of our Auction from October to April 9, 2016. There are many reasons for this change, but primarily it is due to other auctions being so close in time to ours. Details and invitations will follow after the Summer.

You will find our annual survey enclosed in this newsletter. Please help us by filling it out and returning it to the front desk. Results from this survey are needed for continued United Way funding and for gaining additional funding sources.

We all look forward to the Evergreen Fair at the end of August. We again will have an entry in the parade this year. We are always looking for people to join in the parade with us. See Jacob for more information. Have a great Summer!!!
